Uganda

The Rebublic of Uganda is a 241038 km² landlocked East African country, which impresses with its huge Lake Victoria as much as with the snow-capped peaks of the Ruwenzori Mountains. The seat of government is in Kampala, the system of government is a unitary dominant-party presidential republic. In Uganda live 45.7 people (as of 2020), most of whom belong to the ethnic group "Tswana".

The official national currency is the "Ugandan shilling" (UGX). The three spoken languages (official languages) are English, Swahili and Luganda. The vast majority of the population professes Christianity.

Uganda is home to several national parks, game reserves and nature reserves such as the Budongo Forest, Bwindi Impenetrable or the Katonga Wildlife Reserve. Uganda convinces with its natural beauty as well as a species-rich fauna, including chimpanzees and rare bird species.
