The main habitat of the Kibale is the Rainforest.

It is one of the last areas in Uganda where both lowland and montane cloud forest occur. There are a total of 229 tree species in the park.

The climate in Kibale is mild. The rainy season takes place from Beginning August to End November The dry season first extended over the months from Beginning December to End February inclusive. The best time to tour is Beginning December End February.

Temperatures remain the same almost all year round. Daytime temperatures are around 27°C and cool down to about 15°C at night. There is no real dry season in Kibale; rain is possible at any time. However, December to February are typically drier, as are June and July. There are two rainy seasons: March to May and August to November. It is recommended to bring waterproof clothing.
