Landscape

The Rwenzori Mountains, also known as the "Mountains of the Moon", are known for their majestic peaks, glacial valleys and unique alpine flora. The highest peak in the range is Mount Stanley, which rises to 16,763 feet (5,109 meters) and is home to several prominent peaks, including Margherita Peak and Alexandra Peak. The Rwenzori Mountains are known for their permanent snow and ice despite their proximity to the equator.
