About Shamwari

The Shamwari is a Private Game Reserve in South Africa in the provinces of Eastern Cape. The park was established on 01.01.1992 and covers an area of 0.25 km². The Shamwari is a Big Five reserve and offers the possibility of self-drive safaris.

The park is 75 kilometres from Port Elizabeth and is the best known of the private reserves in the Eastern Cape. It offers a wide variety of animals, including all the Big Five. The very exclusive experience includes game drives in open vehicles with quality guiding and luxurious accommodation with first class food and service.
