About Kapama

The Kapama is a Private Game Reserve in South Africa in the provinces of Limpopo. The park was established on 01.01.1993 and covers an area of 0.13 km². The Kapama is a Big Five reserve and offers the possibility of self-drive safaris.

The private game reserve is part of the Greater Kruger, but is fully fenced and not part of a larger ecosystem. There are several high-end safari lodges offering a range of activities including day and night drives, bush walks, balloon safaris and elephant interaction.

Kapama's habitat consists of savannah forest, grassland and riverine bush. Several waterholes and dams provide water all year round. The distant peaks of the northern Drakensberg Mountains form a beautiful backdrop to the reserve.
