The Lower Zambezi is a National Park in Zambia in the provinces of Lusaka. The park was established on 08.04.2021 and covers an area of 4.092 km². The Lower Zambezi offers the possibility of self-drive safaris.

The park lies on the shore off Zambia opposite Zimbabwe's Mana Pools National Park on the middle reaches of the Zambezi River. Wildlife is abundant, with four of the Big Five easily spotted. The main attraction is canoeing on the river. Nowhere else can you see such a variety and number of animals from this exciting vantage point.

The landscape consists of sandy plains, mopane forests and acacia bushes lining the waterways. The main feature of the park is one of Africa's most famous rivers - the Zambezi.

The lower Zambezi has a clearly defined rainy season when temperatures are hot and afternoon showers temporarily relieve the heat. The park's dry season is a milder period when the vegetation begins to thin out. It gets colder as you ascend from the valley, although the uppermost areas of the park are not accessible to visitors.
