The Orpen Kruger

We've had a great stay. Had a warm welcome, never had this good of a service. We would recommend staying here. Great location next to the gate of Kruger park.

We recently spent five nights at The Orpen and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The lodge is beautifully designed, offering comfortable and spotless chalets that made our stay very pleasant. The staff are exceptionally well-trained, consistently efficient, and their warm friendliness made us feel welcome. The food was also simply delicious.

This is a relatively new lodge close to Orpen & Manyeleti gates Kruger National Park. From the time you arrive you are being spoiled with great food, stunning decor & superb service. Thumbs 👍🏻 up to the great lodge

What an amazing experience, I think often as a South African the more luxury lodges are out of reach for us but The Orpen while still not a budget experience provides the perfect in-between in price while matching the more expensive lodges in service and quality. The game drives into the Manyaleti provide for something very different to your normal self drive and the rangers are absolutely excellent we were with Vusi and Prince. Also a massive bonus that it was our engagement holiday and Suné & Thomas went above and beyond to make it even more special for us.

We stayed here for 2 days, and we would’ve loved to stay longer. It’s almost impossible to put into words how kind and warm the staff is. The facilities are very well organized and maintained, and the food is simply incredible. The service is highly personalized and the staff is absolutely incredible. The entrance of the Kruger National park literally within a 1-minute drive, which makes it easy to be in the park before sunrise. If we will ever come back to South Africa, this place is the first on our list.

We started our trip to SA with this fantastic place in December 2023. It was unforgettable. Absolutely a 5 star experience. The management and staff’s service was outstanding. We hope to visit again soon. Highly recommended.

We had a great stay at the Orpen Kruger! The staff was exceptionally friendly and service oriented. The rooms were comfortable and very clean. Food was absolutely amazing and they even packed us a lunch package for our drives through Kruger park which entrance is directly located near the lodge. Highly recommended!

Opened Nov '22. A stone's throw from Orpen gate. Continental breakfast and 3-course dinner included. You go for an early morning drive, arrange a pre-packed breakfast to go with!! Rooms cleaned every day and stocked with coffee, sugar, tea and 2 bottles of water. Units are a decent distance from each other so privacy is prime. Friendliest staff and management working as a team I have ever come accross. I met all staff!! Cellphone signal is sparse and no TV in the room. That is my preference. Read a book or go sightseeing with the family. Leave technology for the city
