The Orpen Kruger

We started our trip to SA with this fantastic place in December 2023. It was unforgettable. Absolutely a 5 star experience. The management and staff’s service was outstanding. We hope to visit again soon. Highly recommended.

We had a great stay at the Orpen Kruger! The staff was exceptionally friendly and service oriented. The rooms were comfortable and very clean. Food was absolutely amazing and they even packed us a lunch package for our drives through Kruger park which entrance is directly located near the lodge. Highly recommended!

Opened Nov '22. A stone's throw from Orpen gate. Continental breakfast and 3-course dinner included. You go for an early morning drive, arrange a pre-packed breakfast to go with!! Rooms cleaned every day and stocked with coffee, sugar, tea and 2 bottles of water. Units are a decent distance from each other so privacy is prime. Friendliest staff and management working as a team I have ever come accross. I met all staff!! Cellphone signal is sparse and no TV in the room. That is my preference. Read a book or go sightseeing with the family. Leave technology for the city

We stayed for one night at this brand new accommodation in front of the orpen gate. Our stay succeeded all our expectations. On our arrival we were welcomed by the complete staff and treated with the highest level of service, during the evening they even cleaned up the room, incl. our luggage and left a nice sleep-well message. Good to know is that the rooms come standard with breakfast, a 3 course dinner can be added, what we would definitely recommend. Overall 5/5

i‘ve found this place by chance, because I was too late for entering Kruger gate. however it turned out to be one of my best stays of five weeks in ZA. it‘s perfectly located just 300m next to Orpen gate (you still can here the lions roaring at night). food was excellent, stuff was lovely and helpful and the accommodation even covered a outdoor shower! definitely would go there again :)
