The South Luangwa is a National Park in Zambia in the provinces of Northern. The park was established on 01.01.1972 and covers an area of 9.05 km². The South Luangwa is a Big Five reserve and offers the possibility of self-drive safaris.

The main habitat of the South Luangwa is the Grassland savannah.
Locally known as "The Valley", the terrain is a mixture of mopane and miombo woodlands, acacia bushes, grass savannah and riverine forest.

The rainy season takes place from Beginning November to End April The dry season first extended over the months from Beginning May to End October inclusive. The best time to tour is Beginning July Middle November.
