My partner and I recently enjoyed a wonderful two-night stay at Tanagra Wine Farm in the charming loft studio, and it was everything we hoped for and more. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the stunning views over the dam – a perfect backdrop for a peaceful and rejuvenating weekend. The loft itself was exceptionally well-equipped, making our stay incredibly comfortable. We loved cozying up by the fireplace, which added an extra touch of warmth and relaxation to our evenings. One of the highlights of our visit was meeting Finn, the farm’s cutest dog! Overall, Tanagra Wine Farm is an idyllic retreat for anyone seeking tranquility and natural beauty. We left feeling refreshed and already looking forward to our next visit. Highly recommended!

We loved our stay at the loft 2nd time round. My parents stayed in the garden cottage. The farm is a gem in the McGregor area. Anette and Robert are fantastic hosts. They present a neat, and perfect self-catering environment with everything and more you need. There are an array of activities on the farm and surrounds to choose from. Its peaceful and beautiful. 100% recommend

Excellent wine tasting. Super knowledgeable with great explanations. The wine is unique - I could buy it all! And their dog Finn is such a sweetie.

Visited in February 2023 to taste and buy their delicious “grappa”. Very welcoming owner, Robert. We did not taste their wine but believe it to be excellent also and we did not visit their B&B guesthouse but can well imagine how wonderful would be a stay there.

Tanagra provides one of best getaway spots that the Western Cape has to offer. The farm produces unusual, delicious wines along with a variety of spirits made at the on site distillery. The views on offer are a constant pleasure and the veld can be particularly showy in spring when the flowers are in bloom. If you're keen on birdwatching, I highly recommend the Loft with a view over the dam. Or if you prefer a more isolated farm experience, the Hill Cottage provides great privacy and a retreat from any and all activity. It is important to be comfortable with the resident geckos in the Hill Cottage. They are totally harmless and very cute, but possibly not to everyone's taste.
