Serendipity Country House

Laura Kennedy 1st July-31 July 2023 I had the pleasure of staying for 1month. The most loving, kind hearted couple I have met. I felt like home away from home. The peaceful environment was very relaxing. Listening to the birds chirping was so soothing. The room was very comfy everything you need for a great stay. The rooms were clean but there were too many insects and overall was not the thee best place we could've stayed. I slept fully dressed trying to avoid being bitten and had to air my bags out when I got home just to avoid carrying around insects from the room. It wasn't the best choice but the beds were at least comfortable.

It was an amazing stay at the country house. The host was welcoming and very warm. Place is cold though but its worth it. Natural Garden was out the roof. It was amazing.

Facilities & hygiene - especially considering we are going through a pandemic, hygiene should be your first priority. When we arrived on 11/12/2020, we noticed the following things: - The sink in the kitchenette was dirty. It looked like bits of dried food in it. - The basin in the bathroom had food all over it. It still had some when we left as we barely used the basin. It was disgusting. - The toilet was filthy. Since we had no choice, we scrubbed it ourselves with the detergents at hand. - A toenail clipping on the bed side drawer in the red room. Gross! - As much as we cannot control bugs and insects flying into rooms, finding cockroaches in there suggests the lack of hygiene yet again. - The shower is a hazard. Its an accident waiting to happen. A mop cannot be the solution to shower with no doors or a flat floor. Water was running into the passage after every shower! We came to have a break not clean your facilities for you. - The early Saturday morning grinding and drilling in the workshop that's directly outside the red room. Headache inducing. At the very least, warn your guests that you have work to do and all should be well!

The view over the river is incredibly relaxing. With the awesome sound of fish eagles it is hard to believe that you are so close to town. Ideal location for winding down after work or while on holiday.
