Maputaland Guest House

Very friendly and tranquil, owner run guest house in St. Lucia. Very good breakfast with toast, cheese, wurst, eggs, fruits, yoghurt and fresh coffee. Jörg, the owner, gives you a lot of helpful reccomendations what to do in St. Lucia and where to eat out.

Great host, gave a good intro of the town and to possible sightseeings activities. Lovely accommodation

Wonderful!! My favourite accommodation during my month-long trip in South Africa. Jörg and his family are incredible hosts, and they made our stay so comfortable and memorable. Highly recommend! St. Lucia itself is a total gem - go for the hippos!

Can’t recommend this place enough. Location is great, nice rooms and good breakfast. But don’t book this for that, book it for the great owners who really do go the extra mile in making sure your stay is as good as it can get!

Our home away from home in St Lucia. We loved our stay there! Hosts Jörg and Gisela share their knowledge about the area with passion and joy. They are most welcoming and prepare a copious delicious breakfast. The room is well-appointed, very clean, and comfortable, and the tropical garden lush and peaceful. Highly recommend this amazing guest house in an unparalleled location.

Back to St Lucia after a good number of years and must say that picking Maputaland Guesthouse has been an excellent idea. Jorg would go out of his way to help and assist and we felt home since we stepped inside. In one word, amazing!!! The owner is super friendly, rooms are super nice, breakfast is awesome (including aufschnit and crepes!! Definitely a place to go to! The owner gives you upon arrival a lot of tips for during the day and for restaurants. WiFi is available throughout the whole guesthouse, pool is nice and there is a fridge full of beers. If you need a place to stay in st. Lucia, you definitely need to go here!
