Mali Mali Safari Lodge

Fantastic rustic experience with unique charms and incredible decor. Eric and his staff are welcoming, accommodating and friendly. They cooked and served us a wonderful dinner on short notice and the included breakfast was equally wonderful. Their little resident dog - Stompie - is a real treat. The common area is a real African experience with good quality WIFI. The pool is fantastic with a well-stocked adjacent bar area. The room was beautifully decorated with a really big bath and a cool outside shower. A ceiling fan provides necessary relief with a mosquito net for added protection. The entire lodge is decorated with incredible works by world-renowned sculptor Anton Smit - which is wonderful to experience. Would definitely recommend Mali Malo for anyone looking for a Getaway in the Hoedspruit & surrounding area.

From the time we arrived until the time we left, the 2 ladies and their staff made us all feel very comfortable, very friendly and accommodating, made sure all of us were happy. Very scenic and quiet bushveld experience, bush is always great for the soul. Thank you for a wonderful stay

It was one of our first experience at the game reserve. It was really good. The owner together with the staff were very friendly and accommodating. When we needed assistance in maintenance they attended to it immediately and made our stay comfortable as possible. I recommend Mali Mali Safari Lodge if you want to experience the true beauty of nature.

Photos online are VERY outdated lodge is old and neglected I was contacted by the owner on WhatsApp and threatened with a lawsuit if I did not remove my review. I believe people should know the truth and what they will be paying for when booking at this lodge The only activities available are swimming or sitting by the pool (which has been cleaned up nicely by the hard working staff) and walks as the only vehicle for game drives has broken down some time ago. The owner claims he has never met me - that might be because he did not get up from behind his desk in the reception office to greet me or introduce himself to me. I was given the grand tour of the entire lodge by a staff member. The rooms, self catering units, lounge and dining room and even the ill-equipped kitchen. I will not be intimidated or threatened into silence. I will post my photos and videos here so that you can decide for yourselves.

Tries to make a bad situation a little bit better Disliked · MALI MALI - FALSE ADVERTISING // VERY DISAPPOINTED Stayed at Mali Mali from the 4th Jan - 7th Jan They state game viewing available, yet the only vehicle available is broken and needs repairs. There is nothing to do at Mali Mali other than sit by a dirty pool. Rooms: Mattress is a thin foam on a cement base VERY VERY UNCOMFORTABLE. Pictures on the website is clearly false/old.. ARC OLD! The paint has faded and looks old. So many Stairs, not suitable for old people or people with Back/knee problems NOT A LODGE, More like a B&B advertising false, none of below available directly from the lodge, have to drive far distances to get any of the below services. Rooms really of poor standard, broken table/dressers. Decking outside the room broken/lose, lose stones, i personally fell and injured myself, i have photos, and videos Limited packing space,not worthy of R2000 per night stay, I wouldnt even give Mali Mali a 1 Star. Breakfast portions are very small, cannot even offer a filter coffee ONLY a packet of coffee milk/sugar/coffee this coffee is full of preservatives. What about the people who do not ta2ke sugar or milk? Stayed 3 Nights ONLY.. instead of the 7 night stay! Malaria Area, yet they have a pond & 3x non-working water fountains full of stagnant water that is a malaria mosquito breeding ground! 8 Days later and I am still waiting for my refund? Eric... how long does a refund take? I am so so upset... you ruined our holiday! Something that was supposed to be special .. ruined by lies!
