Kalahari Anib Lodge, Gondwana Collection Namibia

One of the best campsites during our trip in Namibia. Great location for a break between Windhoek and the Fish River or Windhoek and Luderiz. Each camping site is isolated enough from the others to have privacy. There is also a table with benches, a BBQ and a clean, comfortable bathroom with hot water. We also tried both dinner and breakfast, both buffet style, and were very satisfied with the variety and quality. The staff were very helpful and smiling: a nice atmosphere to start the holidays.

used this place as a resting place for 1 night after driving from Fish river canyon. the service at the recepton was average. lots of scorpions here. We were having a BBQ at 7pm and we came across 4 scorpions.

One of the best lodges and honestly with the best food we have ever had at any lodge so far. The chefs are really amazing. We stayed at the self-catering part of the lodge, big bathroom, showers and room. Everything you need is there. Fridge, cutlery, crockery. The beautiful red dunes are right outside your door. Highly recommend.

An amazing stay at a beautiful lodge. The staff are extremely kind, making every effort to help. We loved the sundowner game drive - a true highlight of Namibia. Big thank you especially to Collins for his warmth and kindness throughout. Highly recommend!

It was the first stop of our namibia trip two weeks ago. The rooms, pool and view are nice and we liked that they are hiking routes. The dinner was great, whilst for breakfast we missed any sweet things to put on bread (eg honey, marmelade) and the fruit salad only contained apples. We especially liked the game drive in the evening with drinks & snacks. The reason why we only give a three Star Review overall is the (mostly) unfriendly staff und terrible service in the restaurant. A few examples: we had breakfast outside and had to ask three times until someone opened the umbrella for us - the waitress didnt even answer us, in the end i was even saying „thank you & sorry for bothering you“ (still no answer from her). Our table was also missing cups - so After not getting any after asking two times i got myself some tea in a glass. A waitress approached me „you need to get it in a cup“ - she promised me to bring me one which never happened. At the second evening we didnt order any drinks because we finished the wine bottle from the night before - after stating that the waitress ignored us for the rest of the evening and we were not even able to order soft drinks. They are many more examples - we did not experience this low level of service at any other place.

Very nice property with 2 pools. Child-friendly. Nice bar area. Some Staff at the restaurant need a bit more training.

The staff are always friendly but the lodge needs some TLC. The paint in the swimming pool is peeling off and 3 members of our family cut their feet. We left empty drink glasses on a table beside the pool at 12:00 and when we returned at 16:00 they were still there. Someone should be doing a round every 30-45 minutes to take away dirty glasses and it would also promote more sales as people will be willing to order more drinks from the waiter. The rooms are not as clean as they should be, showers need deep cleaning, no sweeping under beds or tables, the big poof in the room is super dusty, towels smell bad, two dirty cups and the top bunk in the comfort family room had sand IN the bed when my daughter went to bed. We have been coming to this lodge since 2018 and we can see how the quality of the physical lodge has deteriorated. We understand there is wear and tear, but some aspects are lacking. Our dinner on Friday 17 November was very poor and I cannot justify paying the amount we do for a sub-standard quality dinner. Also, there are so few animals compared to when we came here at first. This lodge is well located for us, which is why we’ve visited it so frequently, but sadly we won’t be rushing back anytime soon. We often tell friends and family about how much we love Kalahari Anib, but our last visit has left little to rave about.

Our family had a wonderful stay at Kalahari Anib. We really loved the hikes and beautiful surroundings. We especially loved the kindness and warmth of the people who work at Kalahari Anib. John, our guide was amazing with our family and two young children. Everyone went above and beyond to make our daughter’s birthday a wonderful day! Thank you everyone for an amazing time!
