Izintaba Private Game Reserve

Thank you to Nikki and her Team at Izintaba for a wonderful holiday. Our stay at Giraffe Cottage was the perfect way to welcome in the New Year. The cottage was spacious and comfortable. The huge veranda is a great place to sit, enjoy the bush and watch impala stroll by. We loved exploring the reserve on foot with the children and dogs and had fun identifying tracks and watching the animals. Sundowners at the picnic spot by the dam were another highlight. We highly recommend Izintaba and hope to visit again soon.

Izintaba is a great place to get out the city and enjoy the bush. There is quite a bit of planes game and we saw a lot of it. We rented out most of the places which are walking distances from each other. Although there is no cell signal there is WiFi and this adds to the experiece of the bush. It’s really nice to be able to run, cycle and walk around and the game is relaxed and the bush is nice. I would highly reccomend it to individuals, large groups and families. It’s great value for money and a great option and so we will be back.

Izintaba is an amazing spot to take your family, the staff are super friendly and amazing. The venue itself has everything you need, kitchens are well equipped. The list of activities and amenities they have onsite are fit for all ages. You have to go to Izintaba if you want to relax and unwind, cell service is limited which makes it even better to bond with the people you are with.

Absolute luxury in the bushveld. We stayed in Duiker and had 100% privacy. The accommodation is superb, we loved everything about it, especially all the comfortable furniture and the shower that accommodates tall persons. Sophia, our Foxie, turned out to be a real "bushveld" dog. We enjoyed our own game drives (we saw so many animals), hikes, table tennis, canoeing, reading, braaing, stoep sitting, the peace and quiet and and and. The daily cleaning of the chalet was a treat. Love the fact that there is no shop nearby. Saggruis made us feel very welcome. He seems like a wonderful person to have a braai with so that you can listen to all his tales. A real gem, hopefully we can visit again - soon.

An awesome experience for us and our dogs. It was great fun having the dogs with us on game drives, and walks. It is a well kept and managed reserve, with very friendly staff. There are plenty of game to view too. The dogs enjoyed the freedom having the fence around the cottage, because they could sniff and view some of the "visitors" passing by.

Nikki and staff most helpful. So many anymals seen on own gamedrives. Accommodation superb and well serviced. Beiing two ladies only, Johannes even made the braais fire ? for us. Thankyou.

Thank you for a wonderful relaxing stay. House is well equipped and very neat. A suggestion: a bird bath to attract more birds.

What an absolutely beautiful place! Everything was just perfect! The cottage immaculate, fully equipped. Pet friendly, our dogs loved it! The owners go above and beyond to make your stay your very best. We drove around the farm and spotted so many animals. We also went to see the Wild Dogs , a once in a lifetime experience which was spectacular! Sat round the fire at night and heard nothing except nature. Highly recommend staying here for what I can only say is a magical experience.
