Imagine Africa Luxury Tented Camp

Overall went beyond expectations. The site was a perfect example of glamping luxury. The tents are huge, great views, wonderful food and facilities, and as other people said saw many animals (including elephants) at the water hole in front of property. Saw loads of animals and action. The staff went above and beyond, I was incredibly impressed by everyone. Considering the seamless experience, I also think it was great value (4 nights for 3). Thanks you, Imagine, for a wonderful trip.

The Imagine Africa Tented Camp is a fabulous place. The tents are ultra-luxurious, super comfortable. The food is excellent. The game viewing is amazing.....we were closer to animals on the safari drives here than we’ve ever been and we’ve done many in Africa previously. Most of all the staff were fantastic. They couldn’t do enough to make sure we had a comfortable and most enjoyable stay and we had the best game viewing opportunities. We were so pleased we are bringing our whole family back later this year, all 9 of us. We would recommend a stay at Imagine Africa to anyone, any time!

Imagine Africa has become a place I will forever hold in my heart. I could not find a single flaw in this place. Where to even begin? Food: The head chef is not only the sweetest man imaginable, but he knows how to dish up stunning plates of delicious African cuisine. We had all kinds of bush meat, decadent homemade desserts, tea time snacks, the list goes on! I appreciated the amount of fruits and vegetables offered throughout the day and I know that the lodge is extremely accommodating to any allergies or dietary restrictions. They will work with you! Also take advantage of the poolside bar, it is the perfect way to relax before your afternoon game drive. Tents: The tents are much larger than the photos make them out to be! The bed was very comfortable and we loved the outdoor shower and tub. The housekeepers (who were always so kind) tidied the room during each of our game drives. Laundry service was offered as well! All the decor was so beautiful and well taken care of. Staff: The staff was the best part of our entire time. The front of house staff was beyond accommodating, but in a way where they felt like family and not just staff. Always smiling, always asking how your day was going. The tracker we had all week for our drives was sweet and incredibly good at his job, I’m convinced he is part leopard the way he can track one down in the bush. Our guide we had all week was such a joy to be around, extremely knowledgeable and “married to the bush” as he says. He can ID any bird with just a glance and will share all kinds of entertaining stories during the group lunches and dinners. Even the owner came by a few times during our stay and was incredibly welcoming. The Safari vacation we took at Imagine Africa was so incredible to us on our honeymoon, I don’t think we will ever take a better trip. You know a special time was had when tears were shed and hugs were had when it was time to leave ❤️

Imagine Africa is one of the nicest places I've ever stayed. From the moment we got there it was just complete and utter luxury. I can't quite describe how nice it was! Everyone goes above and beyond to make sure you have an amazing time. On the first day we saw 4/5 big five - the guides Syd and Hendrick are experts. They have so much knowledge and can track the animals + you can really see how passionate they are. Telani is pure sunshine, she's so easy to talk to + we had many a fun conversations over the last few days. She's so attentive and friendly. The food is beyond good as well, especially the way everything is prepared fresh on site - the peanut butter, hot sauce all the veg. I mean we were so treated! Finally the decor and rooms were just beautiful. When I say everything is thought of it really is. The setting is stunning, the rooms have everything you need and it's all very beautifully done. Richard you and your wife have created something really special. We don't usually write as much of a gushy review but I think it's more than deserved! Thanks again

We visited this lodge and were pleasantly surprised with a 4 star lodge but 5 star accommodation and service. Excellent game drives and amazing meals. Definitely a place to visit if you are considering a lodge in the Balule reserve.

Absolutely fantastic place - no detail missed on the finishing touches of the beyond luxury accommodation- I don't want to say 'tents' as they surpass that description.

Looking back on our holiday, we are still speechless! Without a doubt, it was the most exceptional holiday we've ever had, and we are so grateful that Imagine Africa was recommended to us by friends. We had booked the 10 day "Lions and landscapes" tour and explored the Kruger Park and the Blyde Canyon area with our guide Herman, before our stay at the Imagine Africa lodge. In our opinion, the fact that we had opted for this guided tour is the best thing we could have done. We saw and learnt so much in the Kruger Park and were able to concentrate fully on the safaris and the animals as we didn't have to drive ourselves, plan the route or the time of return to camp or read up on the individual animals. Herman took care of all this for us and always wanted the best for us. His experience and knowledge of the animals and their behaviour is just super enriching. We got on so well over the days, we laughed and experienced a lot together. Last but not least, he turned us into real Springbok fans, so that even after our holiday we followed the Rugby World Cup games right up to the final. You did it Bokke! ;) The final 4 days at Imagine Africa Lodge were a dream. The fact that the lodge is not huge makes the stay super personal and cosy. The food was always delicious, the huge tents are incredibly beautiful and the view directly onto the reserve is just amazing. In addition to spotting impalas, we even could see giraffes and an elephant from our terrace. The entire team was remarkably kind and caring. We had a great time and had very good and funny conversations with them. Our last evening will remain in our memories. ;) It was our first time in South Africa and thus our first time at Imagine Africa, but definitely not our last! Amanda and Richard you have built something really beautiful!
