Gwahumbe Game and Spa

Went there for their Mini Spa package. The place is still under construction. From reception to their dinning area and spa treatment rooms, the place was aesthetically pleasing. Staff was friendly. Meals were good. Spa treatment was great. The Game drive was okay, not alota animals were on sight. Overall a lovely experience. Food 7/10 Spa treatment 8/10 Game drive 6/10

A must experience, for those romantic getaways, weekends, or just spend the day hiking, watching game on a drive, or self drive. Lovely spa out in the wild

Gwahumbe Game Reserve was an amazing experience. The place has lots to offer. It's best enjoyed with a 4x4 vehicle for the self game drive. Along the route we had spotted Zebra, Buck, Wildebeest, Giraffe, Ostrich Deer and even rare species of birdlife. There are a few river crossings as well as some steep inclines where the trail gets a little technical. Like us, if you too work up an appetite during your adventure there are many picnic and braai facilities available along the way. You could also plan a stay and book the accommodation available or take the time to get a much needed spa treatment, then order your food and beverages. There's a ton of stuff to do, we haven't had the time to check out the mountain bike trails, whether its something new or old theres always a good reason to visit again...

Beautiful Game Drive (and 4x4 experience 😂), delicious food served in a lovely setting, lovely massages. Friendly and welcoming staff. The reception area is under construction however that did not detract from an overall excellent experience.

A wonderful spot to recharge and relax. Outstanding accommodation, true luxury in the bush with every attention to detail from the infinty pool to the hot tub with spectacular views. The spa treatment was amazing, providing ultimate relaxation. Game drive with the fantastic Alison (Ali) was informative from the first bump! Exploring the numerous 4x4 trails on the property was exhilarating, and the team made sure our every request was pandered too. Missed the hippo on this trip but we will definitely be back to track him on the next adventure and all a stones throw away from home. Couldn't have asked for a better break, thank you Gwahumbe!

The service was absolutely 💯 amazing 👌🏾the location was great too! The food is absolutely devine. Only thing needed is a microwaves in the rooms. The game drive was super 👌🏾 nice too.

I took my husband to Gwahumbe for his birthday in February, it was amazing 😍😍 The view from our room was picturesque and so serene. We had dinner on our private balcony, and the food was delicious, the desserts were to die for 😍😍😍 The spa treatments were great as well, but I found it a bit short. We will most definitely return with a larger crowd next time as we didn't get to go on a game drive!! Overall it was a great weekend!

My dad treated us to a few nights as a welcome back when we were on holiday back in SA (from the Netherlands). What a great gift! The location is stunning, with gorgeous picturesque mountains and roaming wild animals. We went on nature walks, chilled in our jacuzzi overlooking the mountains and had a cosy fire indoors. The place we stayed at, Riverbend, was so beautiful and luxurious.
