Grand Dédale Country House

Did not see the waiter as much as was needed, but all round a great venue and perfect for birthdays and for anniversary parties. Desserts was not from venue.

Never, have I EVER, came across an abode with this attention to detail. The decor and ambiance, is BEYOND. 5 star rating is NOT enough.....

Absolutely stunning hotel and location. Attention to detail was just impeccable. Highly recommended for a romantic weekend away. Spa services can be arranged by the hotel and the wine tasting is free for hotel guests. The owner is extremely nice, and has a lovely dog and a cat making it feel homely. 5*

I can’t describe how wonderful Grand Dedale is. My partner surprised me to a weekend away here and I was flabbergasted. Photos can show the beauty of the house and the grounds. The food is delicious and Grand Dedale even made me some delicious chocolates to help celebrate my birthday 🥳 The next day we went for a walk in the grounds and around the wine vineyards where my partner asked me to marry him. Such a beautiful setting how could I say no! The owners and staff were amazing! Nothing to much for then and helped make my partners booking and surprises go without a hitch 🙏🏼

Glorius and Grand Nothing below ***** The Grand Dédale Country House is located at the end of the Bovlei/Kromrivier valley. The beautiful solid old building renovated 15 years ago, has been kept up to the highest standards since. Very high quality in all respects. A highly efficient, qualified and friendly staff providing Service (with a capital), without any notion of subservience. Too bad we did not discover this gem at the Doolhof Wine Estate any earlier. Otherwise, it would have been a firm choice also at many of our past visits to South Africa. The road to the Grand Dédale Country House is under construction and will provide improved access. But even any delay on the way is easily forgotten upon arrival. Thank you, Tina (and Angelo) and all your loyal staff members, for all your good and kind work.

I think this is an exceptional place - simply divine surroundings - you can not ask for more. The Doolhof wines are outstanding, specially like the Doolhof Dark Lady Pinotage! The food was scrumptious, just a perfect place to relax on a lazy day - highly highly recommended!!!

The weather was freezing cold, but after the welcome drink on arrival, our luxury loft rooms were cozy and warm with even under floor heating in the bathrooms. Definitely recommended for their 5 star service with a personal touch from Angelo. And the food is top quality.
