Opportunity to see Elusive Cats Our family of six including four adults and two children visited the Cat Reserve on 10th July 2023 for the morning 1030 tour. We did not stay at the Lodge The guide who showed us around was knowledgeable, friendly and informative. He explained how they care for the injured or orphaned cat species and measures taken to rehabilitate them at the centre. He took us along to show us the Caracal, African Wild Cat, Cheetah and the Serval. We were taken into some enclosures for closer observation. Our child of 11 years was not permitted to enter the Cheetah enclosure. We learnt a lot of interesting facts about these cats during the tour. The guide explained that the animals after a period of rehabilitation are released back to the wild. Those that remain had been injured in the wild and would not probably have lived otherwise. It was indeed a most informative visit thoroughly enjoyed by all and an opportunity to see these elusive cats!

We have the most wonderful time at Emdoneni. From the welcoming on arrival, the comfort of the accommodation, food so delicious. Immaculate grounds, sparkling pool and relaxing lounge area. All staff are incredibly helpful and nothing is too much. Close to Hluhluwe reserve and town. Lovely to have the cat sanctuary to learn and also to walk around the grounds viewing buck and zebra. Home away from Home.

I've had a wonderful stay there, including the safari and the wild cat project. Food was delicious and the stuff was lovely and professional. The chalet was spacious and beautiful. There were some things that bothered me a little. The situation with the entrance gate is very frustrating. The AC wasn't strong enough and also in summer they could/should turn it on before someone arrives. There was trouble with the WiFi, which didn't work for most of time.

We only went to see the cats and especially the cheetah. The only time I was attacked by mosquitos so bring spray. We got to see the feeding of different cats and go into the fence of the two cheetah brothers. Never been so close.

We had a lovely stay at Emdoneni. The facilities are great and immaculate, and the staff are super helpful. The cat project was very informative and my daughter loved the game ranger course. The food is excellent. The only addition I would like would be a bath in the room for the kids and a TV in the room as well.
