What an amazing time! The service was top notch and the food was devine. So much attention to detail. I took my mom as a treat for mothersday and we had a great time. All the staff went out of their way to assist and were eager to help with any requests. I would definately recomend the lodge to anybody who enjoys nature.

We have been visiting Elephant Rock for a number of years and it never disappoints. The service, accommodation and food are perfect. The rangers: Steph, Keegan and Peter are so knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating. The game drives are something else. Four hours chasing down the big 5 in their own habitat. It’s so exciting… but it’s not all about the beasts and baddies. The bird life and insects are also very interesting. If I could give 1 million stars for this place I would. Book it. Enjoy it and become part of the Elephant Rock Family.

Celebrated my wife's 60th birthday with an amazing 2 night stay. Wonderful welcome from management with a refreshing cocktail. The view down to the dam is fantastic where we saw 22 elephants. Our room was tastefully furnished with a king size bed and large bathroom and outdoor shower. The deck overlooking the dam was where we enjoyed our lunch and breakfast. Dinner was in the dining room where our table was beautifully set. All meals were wonderful and one had choices. Steph is a great host who looked after us and made sure we were happy. There is a wonderful coffee machine and an array of teas and hot chocolate which was available all the time. Our game ranger was Tegan who is very knowledgeable and was able to show us 4 of the big 5. We absolutely enjoyed our stay and felt right at home especially as the lodge only sleeps a maximum of 10 guests, so nice and intimate. We will definitely be back.

We had a wonderful time and got to see so many animals in the 3 days we were there. You park your vehicle in a secure compound which is about 15 minutes from the lodge so be sure to bring everything that you need for your stay along with you. Of course we didn’t do that, but Graeme was ever so helpful and took us back to collect some baby items on our way back to the lodge after one of our drives. Graeme was an amazing guide and we loved the picnics. Cappuccino muffins are heavenly. Rene and all the staff really looked after us so well and we couldn’t fault them on any point. Food was great and they were so accommodating for our young son who is very particular about his food. My wife loved the little touches, especially the candles and flower petals around the bath we were surprised with one evening. The game drives went by so quickly and Graeme worked really hard to make sure we got the best viewing experiences. The only minus point, and it is just the one, is the beds are not the most comfortable. Everything thing else more than makes up for this. Well done to you all and thank you for some amazing memories.

As others have mentioned the accommodation and game viewing experience here is excellent, but I'd like to highlight how incredibly helpful the staff were in helping us to get hold of our luggage after it failed to arrive with us in SA. Would highly recommend staying here.

This intimate 10 bed lodge is situated close to the access gate of Nambiti reserve. It has breathtaking views over a dam and vast hilly zones . A new lookout deck is currently being built , which gives one more intimate close ups of the dam, a popular wstering hole for a variety of game : this is a great addition. Steve and Stef are the management couple , and from every detail , this lodge is well run . I believe their attention to detail is their draw card . Steffie drove us for all of our 6 game drives,( for our 3 night stay ) and her knowledgeable, pleasant and at times humorous presence is a great asset to the team . We viewed a wide variety of game ... the cheetah remained elusive however !! Back at the lodge , delicious food awaited our returns from game drives . The food is varied and deliciously tasty : at dinner there is a choice between 2 starters , 2 mains and 2 puddings , or cheese and crackers : this is fabulous selection for a small lodge !! Lunch is buffet style with a protein and courful healthy salads ( at our request) . The wine fridge is well stocked with a variety of fabulous wine choices . Rooms are spacious , and well specced . This lodge has been our go to of choice in Nambiti big 5 reserve for some years , and it never disappoints . The owners and staff are always looking for ways to improve, upgrade and satisfy the discerning traveller!!
