Perfekt lodge for good Game Drives and sights. Rooms are great, and food offerings are solid. Game Drives were a real experience with close sight of all animals on the lodge grounds. Good Guides we're very Help and insightful. Recommendable and Close to the Garden Route.

We stayed two nights in the Super Deluxe Tented Suite full board and it was amazing! Excellent service and the suite was extremely comfortable. Alex was our game drive guide and was very knowledgeable and kind during our drives. We saw plenty of animals across the reserve. Only downside was the included meals. The food in our opinion was not great. I got sick one night which could or could not have been due to food, but it did not taste good. However, the food was all included in our rate, so we cannot complain too much!

An amazing experience of a lifetime. Our guide Simba was absolutely amazing, his knowledge of the estate and the animals was exceptional where we got to see every animal. The accommodation was also absolutely fantastic with so much thought put into the detail. We woke up to elephants outside our room! We were not affected by load shedding as the resort generates its own power. A few points for improvement: -Dinner finishes at 8pm. When you’ve been on a game drive and get back at 6.15 it doesn’t allow much time to relax. I feel like this could be later and we’d probably have stayed up and spent more money in the bar! -The food choices were a little limited for someone who stayed 3 nights. -Although the pools themselves are clean, the bottom of the pools need regular vacuuming as they are covered in debris.

This resort is well worth the 4.5 hour drive from Capetown. Our family of 6 (4 kids ages 7-15) stayed 2 nights here with the half board package. The resort was beautiful, the food was delicious but most of all, the staff were exceptional. Do not miss out on the horseback safari experience! My whole family rode horses for the first time and our guide Admire made all of us feel comfortable and safe. We went on two 3-hour safari drives with our guide, Mandela who was very knowledgeable and made all of us laugh with his incredible stories. We came within a few feet of the lions, rhinos and cheetahs! We also saw elephants, zebras, hippos, giraffes, African buffaloes, wildebeest & many kinds of antelopes. Contrary to what some other people said, we did not feel like this was a zoo. We enjoyed watching the animals roaming in the wild and interacting with one another. My kids also enjoyed swimming in the various outdoor pools. Overall, it was an amazing experience being right in the middle of nature!

Such a beautiful experience at Botlierskop! Stayed in one of their amazing suits overlooking whatever deer or antelope wanted to stroll past. We ordered room service both nights because the room was so wonderful we just didn’t want to leave! We did 2 game drives with the amazing Ranger Innocent. The drive feels pretty wild for a smaller reserve and it is just as enjoyable being in the car as it climbs up and down the hills and through little forests as it is in that moment you first spot an elephant or lion. Innocent is very knowledgeable and we had so much fun with him that we would absolutely go again just for the experience!

Value for money, but we did the Botlierskop safari some days after we did Kruger, so then it is rather disappointing. It is more commercial: they track the animals so you get taken from one special animal (cheetah) to the other (lion), which is understandable because of the difference in size of the park, but makes it feel more like a zoo visit. It’s nice as a day trip for people who haven’t done many safaris. Ranger gives a lot of information. Well maintained hotel.

An absolutely fabulous day visit to this very special place. Our guide, called Innocent, was amazing. He had in-depth knowledge of everything that we came across, and had the patience to answer every question with details and humour. It’s an incredibly important place and needs to be supported. If you’re in the region it’s a must visit, if you’re not, then make it a destination. Wild animals in a beautiful setting.

Highly recommend, the experience was excellent. Went on the game drive and it was amazing. Our guide Christo was very informative and made the trip worth while with his quirky and funny personality. I will highly recommend anyone looking for a fun day experience or a getaway from the busy life style to go and visit. Their food and service is great and delicious. We will see you soon to come back and enjoy your horse trail.
