This was the most amazing place I have experienced. The rooms at the Village Lodge were luxurious. The entire staff catered to our every need and were always helpful and courteous. Our game drive guide,Richard, exceeded all expectations. He made sure we had the best views and wildlife observations possible. We were lucky enough to witness 3 Cheetahs hunt and bring down young Wildebeest. I suggest the 2 hour horseback riding and massage options. The food is plentiful ,delicious and vegetarian options are available. Getting to the Village Lodge can be tricky so be sure to have exact directions from where you're starting the drive to the Village Lodge. I felt pampered and educated all at the same time. I learned so much about wildlife and South African culture. I hope to return again !

Cannot go wrong with visiting Botlierskop! This is now the second we've stayed here and it is just amazing. The luxury suites are definitely the way to go! We did the horseback safari where you get so close to the wild animals. The safari drive is just as incredible with seeing 4 of the Big 5. The spa treatments are also devine. The food in the restaurant is great as well as the picnics!

What an absolutely amazing experience that I got to take my family on. We took two deluxe tented rooms. My two teenage kids loved the independence, safety and the close proximity to the restaurant. Alex, our guide was patient, friendly and extremely knowledgeable he made the experience for kids, their first game drive a memorable one. The food was top notch, the rooms were exceptional, spacious and the cleaning services were next level. Thank you for showing my kids that there is more to the city life, tv and games. This was experience of a lifetime and look forward to visiting again.

This was the most amazing Game Reserve my husband and I have experienced. The rooms were luxurious, spacious and had a super beautiful view! We were able to watch elephants fight and eat from our porch. We had a sneaky monkey ran into our room, stole our biscuits and eat it on our porch. The entire staff were always helpful and friendly. The game drive in the morning exceeded all expectations. We had the horseback riding and it was a real treat to see the game reserve from this perspective too. The food is plentiful and delicious. We liked the different options on the menu. Everything was amazing and we enjoyed our time there. PS not criticism just a recommendation: it would be nice if the spa can be open until early evening as people are usually out until late afternoon. A massage after the day’s outing would be really great :)

We celebrated our anniversary with a two night stay at Botlierskop. Upon arrival we were greeted with some MCC and even more of it in our bedroom to celebrate the occasion. Staff were super attentitive and friendly, nothing was too great of an ask. We thoroughly enjoyed the food and even though we only had the half-board option (breakfast and dinner), we did not even have space for lunch as breakfast was quite substantial and delicious (the mimosas were a welcoming touch). Game drives were an adventure! Initially, we were only going to do a morning drive but with its completion, we had had so much fun that we immediately booked for the afternoon drive as well. This did not dissapoint. We saw a great deal of animals and our guide (Jared) was very friendly and rich with information about all of the animals. The morning coffee and afternoon drink amongst nature was a lovely touch. We will be back one day for sure!

We did a 3 hour game drive and it was spectacular. Many animals, terrific guide, and a beautiful lodge to start and end the day. Even the gift shop was spectacular! HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Third time visit last March and perfect again, this time with my family: my sister, her husband and their daughter. It was their first visit to South Africa so I thought Botlierskop had to be part of our trip. All of us had an awesome stay in a beautiful luxury tent with a stunning view over the park. All services were outstanding: rooms, food at the restaurant, super kind staff and last but not least our fantastic ranger Mandela! He was the cherry on the cake! We saw 4 out of the big5 and a lot more even cheeta's. A great way to celebrate my sister's 65th birthday with a special attention from the staff in their room (cake and wine)! Mandela was not only very professional and passionate but very kind and funny as well. We had the time of our life so thank you for that! Hope to come back...

Superb location atop a little rocky outcrop which affords the rooms and the dining area the most incredible views. Rooms are recently refurbished and are excellent. Lunch and breakfasts are superb but evening meals were a little disappointing I felt and the lunch menu was more interesting. The game drives were informative, however, as the reserve caters for the 'volume' market with day safaris, it has a feeling of a safari park like Longleat with queues of cars. Powerlines will blight most of the views sadly and there aren't any rewilding attempts which lead to an unnatural feel. That said, it was a very enjoyable visit and the staff are delightful and friendly.
