Lovely Victorian style lodge to stay if you want to be close to Kruger National Park but don't want to spend the night in the park. The view from our room was breathtaking! We felt very welcome and Ridge was a fantastic host. :)

Rude owner. 5 star scam. See the R420 per person dinner cake in the photos (R29.99 butter cream loaf). Possibly asbestos roof as well.

I truly enjoyed my stay in Blue Mountain Luxury Lodge in Dec 2020. It felt like I was in another world quite warm and surrounded by nature. The management and staff go all out to make me feel at home. I loved the place and the people. Really this is a place to visit The food mmm yummy. Great chef!! The rooms are breathtaking...with natural sounds filling the pure air. I would love to go back there and relax!! Just be with nature and people who make the place an amazing place to visit. A must visit....you will be beautifully surprised.

Blue mountain lodge is a beautiful place. We only stayed a night but wished we had stayed longer. I'd highly recommend this for a staycation or romantic getaway. It has so much to offer, hiking trails, beautiful views and a large swimming pool to cool.you off. The place is well maintained and the service impeccable and I can't wait to go back for a longer stay.

This was the most horrible experience ive ever had. We made the booking via bookings. Com for 3 standard suits. We tried calling the lodge before we arrived but none of their phones went through! When we arrived at the property there was not even a guard at the gate we literally stood there for more than a hour trying to call and hooting just so that someone can open ( its at night we tired and exhausted). We even had to resort to asking people walking bu if they had alternative numbers or know someone that worked there. Just when we had given up someone comes and opens the gate. We drive to the reception and when we get there they tell us that we will need to pay extra because the rooms that we booked are not available because they have "bees". To us it didn't make sense because they were supposed to inform booking.com that those rooms are not available and should be removed on their website so that people dont reserve them. Instead of giving us available rooms they gave us stinking attitude. We ask them to refund us our money because we couldn't top up the money they wanted and they refused the matter is still under investigation. The manner of approach and how the lodge delt with this matter was horrible and not logical. We were there for only 1 night and arrived at the reception area around 20:00 so there were no others guys coming in for sure! They should have let us slept there with our initial booking fee as they failed to inform other service providers that the rooms are no longer available.! I will definitely not be setting my foot back here! They dont deserve the 5 star/luxury lodge status .
