We had a wonderful stay at the Shepherd's Loft @ The Clarens Country House in August. The overall experience was fantastic, with the location being a highlight. Nestled in a peaceful area surrounded by stunning scenery and close to the centre of town, it was the perfect getaway. The rooms were comfortable and well-maintained, adding to the relaxing atmosphere. I recently had the pleasure of staying at this charming guest house in Clarens, South Africa, and I can't express how amazing my experience was. From the moment I arrived, the beauty of the place captivated me. The guest house is not only aesthetically pleasing but also incredibly comfortable, providing all the amenities one could wish for. I felt incredibly safe throughout my stay, allowing me to fully enjoy the beauty of Clarens without any worries. However, what truly made my stay exceptional was the warmth and hospitality of the owners, Peter, Toni, and Craig. From the first greeting, they made me feel like more than just a guest – they made me feel like family. Their genuine kindness and attention to every detail created a welcoming atmosphere that enhanced my entire stay. I wholeheartedly recommend this guest house to anyone looking for a comfortable, safe, and truly welcoming place to stay in Clarens. Lovely place, with a lot of attention to detail. Beautifully decorated and comfortable. The owners have thought of everything. Beautiful gardens. Well priced, and close to all amenities, yet peaceful and quiet. Highly recommended.

This is really a beautiful place in a wonderful setting. Stayed in WildeAls...Room is spacious and clean and access to the estate is effortless. Had the fire going for the cooler evenings....Also the Country house is close to Clarens and very peaceful. Lovely to take a stroll in the estate too.

We received a warm welcome by Toni and were provided with helpful information about the place and its surroundings. The cottage is very comfortable, with many thoughtful touches. A well equipped kitchen including a microwave, toaster, coffee maker, etc. We stayed there when outside temperatures dropped to 0 degrees, yet the cottage felt cosy and warm. The bed is super comfortable, the bathroom spacious. The whole cottage was spotless clean. The garden and the view stunningly picturesque. It is not a question if we come back, but when.

Beautiful setting, excellent service, cosy and very romantic gataway for two...highly recommended! Will book a stay there again! Plus, GREAT value for money! Could not have asked for more.

Fabulous location with breathtaking views from the windows. Wake up to the sound of 'Piet my Vrou' in the woods. Fantastic layout. An amazing fire place and heaters in all the areas. Equiped kitchen and outside braai facilities. Most serene gardens with abundant bird life. The attention to detail is world class. They had me with the cute milk jug in the fridge, filled with milk for your first coffee. The best place to stay when in Clarens and one of the best accommodations in SA.
