Sausage Tree Safari Camp

Beautiful, peaceful lodge in the most stunning setting. The staff are friendly and welcoming, with a true family-feel. The food is delicious and they cater perfectly to your dietary requirements. We had excellent sightings of hyena and black rhino. A wonderful, intimate getaway - highly recommend!

I did a 2 night stay here recently!, and wow so special. Lovely tented rooms with AC, great outdoor showers, and an awesome view from the pool/deck area. The camp is really good value in todays safari world, and we saw the big 5 in 2 days! The staff are friendly and helpful, and the food is also just delish!!. I would have no problems coming back here!!

We stayed 4 days 3 nights in Sausage Tree Safari Camp! We have unforgettable memories here! ✨ The public area and tent area are clean, tidy and well decorated! We really want to spend whole day on the sofa and look at the bush !! ✨The morning game drive and evening game drive are awesome! Thanks so much for our guide Polite and tracker Life! They are not only professional, but also passionate! We do enjoy every give drive with them and those lovely animals! ✨ The food is unbeatable too! We eat like an elephant in the lodge hahaha. Of course we enjoy their wine as well 🥂 ✨ We tried their massage as well. We would say that is the best massage we ever have. Highly recommend to everyone! Definitely will come back soon !! An epic vacation at Sausage Tree Safari Camp. Our week with Thamba, Polite, Thendy and Nelli was lifechanging. The level or professionalism and genuine hospitality was well beyond expectations. Food was amazing and service top notch. I cannot say enough good things about this crew! We will be back and cannot wait to see everyone again!

What an experience! Prepare yourself for a safari camp that will immerse you in the bush while providing for your every need. The staff is phenomenal and attentive. The meals are out of this world delicious. The trackers and guides are informative and entertaining. Accommodation and pool are clean and well tended. We will definitely return and enjoy this fabulous property.

One of the most special places I’ve ever stayed! All of the staff are so kind, helpful, and knowledgeable. The property is beautiful and peaceful, I loved being able to see elephants from my room or while enjoying my lunch. The food is absolutely amazing too, it’s always different and there’s lots of it! And best of all, our guided drives - we saw so many animals and had such incredible experiences driving through the bush. This was the best safari experience and I highly recommend it to everyone!

We had a fantastic 3 nights at Sausage Tree. The staff are dedicated and thoughtful. Just like the other reviewers, we immediately felt part of a family. We enjoyed the plentiful food (and comprehensive wine list and bar). Dinner on the nights we stayed was lamb chop and venison sausage on the braai, fillet steak and a lamb curry. All were very enjoyable, with the chef's baking and skill at desserts particularly notable. The game drives were excellent with the tracker and guide's deep knowledge and experience of the terrain very evident. Their ability to spot wildlife at a distance is incredible. We saw some amazing sights including wild dogs hunting as well as lions, hippos and a leopard, and much else. From the porch of our tent alone we saw giraffes, zebra and warthogs. It was a truly, truly memorable trip.

Absolutely brilliant place and people. We were a big group and the staff made our stay most comfortable. The morning and afternoon drives were very interesting- we got to see the big 5 up close, thanks to Themba and Polite, our amazing guides. They were extremely skilled, friendly and regaled us with tales of their adventures. We loved our stay at Sausage resort and hope to come back.
