Route 38 - Outjo

Upon our return journey from Okakuejo after passing to Etosha King Nehale, we made a brief stop to dine at this establishment. While we did not utilize its lodging services, the dining experience was exceptional. The ambiance reflects a pronounced German influence, reminiscent of the colonial era. Furthermore, while the menu predominantly offers traditional German dishes, it also features exquisite Namibian cuisine. I had the pleasure of trying the pork chops, which were impeccably prepared and delightful.

I have been here twice now to enjoy the restaurant (I have not stayed at the lodging), and I have enjoyed both experiences very much. The service is great and the food is delicious. On this particular visit, the owner even greeted me outside as I was on my laptop to ensure that I was connected on their wifi. Not just that, but he wanted to be sure I was connected to the correct one so that I would have a great experience. That's great customer service.

We didn't plan to stay there but we had to because of a car issue, and it was an incredibly lucky situation. The place is perfectly clean, the rooms are nice and the food is very good (special mention to the huge and delicious coffee and the homemade jam). You can tell they put a lot of effort and love in this business. The staff and the managers are very kind and helpful. If you go near Outjo, this is a fantastic place to stay, have dinner, meal, breakfast, coffee or all of them.

Very delicious food (steak, salads, bread), with the sauces, jams and bread being homemade. There is a nice backyard with long tables and the service is fast and the ladies super sweet

Second time at Route 38 and loved everything! The food is delicious, you can taste the freshness! Will recommend Route 38 to anyone passing through Outjo and wants to grab a meal! Our new go to, everytime we come to town for shopping !

Most delicious hamburger with creamy garlic sauce. Cupachino the best in town!
