I'm not big on reviews But I am definitely gonna visit Rafiki Bush lodge again this place is Amazing a perfect 10/10 if you were looking for a review to decide whether or not to go here then here it is.. Shout out to Maria Perfect Host❤️ The location is absolutely amazing,the weather was perfect this place is peaceful and quiet and very easy to locate and drive to by any car.. The rooms are clean definitely enjoyed the outside shower you have everything you need in the room and privacy we also enjoyed the Cold pool and a beautiful sunset and the evening fire❤️ The food OMG where do I even begin no words can describe how amazing the food is Shout out to the Chef Lungisani loves what he does and so good at it provided us with perfect vegetarian meal as well for my partner and as for me I've never had better steak in a lodge before I would even go back just for the food😂The Breakfast as good as well and very fresh fruits Big ups to Lungisani he took such good care our appetite We went for a nature walk which was great too saw a couple of animals on the way was very refreshing The game drive was The best!!! Please do the game drive we went for an afternoon game drive and saw 4 of the big 5 hoping to see some lion's next time we go back learnt a lot on the drive too so many birds to see as well we enjoyed everything 👏🏽👏🏽

We had the pleasure of staying at Rafiki Bush Lodge, and it was an absolutely unforgettable experience! The lodge is beautifully situated within a nice estate (neighborhood) with an authentic bush experience. The bush drives and walks were extraordinary—full of excitement and guided by a highly-respected expert who made every moment educational and thrilling. The rooms at the lodge are impeccably maintained, offering comfort and luxury amidst the wild. Waking up to the sounds of nature and enjoying the serene surroundings made it a truly magical stay. We had warthogs, porcupines, mongoose, waterbuck, steambok, impala, and countless birds outside our bedroom. Maria and Lungisani curated an exceptional menu each day, with a variety of delicious meals prepared with great attention to detail. They were so accommodating of my celiac wife who enjoyed some of the best gluten-free meals and delicacies ever on travel. Every meal felt like a celebration of local flavors, and the dining experience was consistently top-notch. It felt like a Thanksgiving feast three times a day! A special shoutout to Reinhardt, Maria, Lungi, and Thomas—their service was beyond exceptional. They were attentive, warm, and made sure every need was met with a smile and a “Pleasure.” Their passion for what they do is evident, and they truly made the experience one to remember. If you’re looking for an immersive, luxurious, and personalized safari experience, I highly recommend Rafiki Bush Lodge. It’s a hidden gem that offers the perfect blend of adventure and relaxation. We can’t wait to return!

Rafiki Bush Lodge is a wonderful gem within the Hoedspruit Wildlife Estate. Maria and Reinhardt are great hosts and we felt at home from the first minute on. The safari trips with Reinhardt are highly recommendable as well. The best place we have visited on our South Africa trip so far. Hope to be back in the future!

The best Location for couples,The services is awesome.the FOOD was top notch, bedding,cleanliness,nature comfort, pool and bicycle rides trust me the place is the BEST,Maria and Lungisani are the best hosts,i enjoyed myself my birthday celebration was the best ever. They even washed my dirty car without asking me that touched me a lot,i thank you guys the phone reception and wifi great#Team RAFIKI YOUR THE BEST ♥️ Plus we got to make new friendships with Max and Johana all the way from Germany great human beings we love you guys it was great to the stay with you. My father and I spent 3 nights at the Rafiki Bush lodge and really enjoyed our stay. Maria, Reinhardt and the rest of the staff were amazing and welcomed us into their home. The lodge located in a private game estate which is nice to walk / bike around after your activities, or just lay out by the pool. Maria and Reinhardt were great setting up activities for us. Accommodations were very comfortable and meals were home cooked and very delicious.

In short, the Lodge was nothing less than fantastic. There is ample room to house our group of 14 with more space available. The outside entertainment is also spacious for our whole party, and allowed enough space between the braai area and any other small group chats taking place. The view is breathetaking and yet there is full privacy from other units. An enjoyable time in total. *****

Our stay with Maria and Reinhardt and their wonderful daughter was one of the most memorable vacations of our lifetime. It was my wife, my 11 year old son and a group of other friends. The house is very clean and scenic, the food was wonderful and they catered to our requests for menu items, Maria and Reinhardt couldn't have been more welcoming or accommodating. In addition to the lodging, we went on 2 game drives daily with Reinhardt as our guide. His knowledge and love for his work shined through and left us with a tremendous adventure and learning experience. On one single day we counted 42 species of animals. It was truly remarkable. We plan to go back in a few years and will 100% be seeking out Maria and Reinhardt as our hosts and guides.
