We stayed in the honeymoon suite for weekend at the end of September. We loved the spacious accomodation with its spa bath, his-and-her double shower and the ggeneral ambiance with birdsong throughout the day. We had a problem with the water from the shower but this was sorted out quickly and was appreciated. The food was tasty and we appreciated the service provided by Lewanika and his colleagues in the restaurant. A few constructive comments: 1) Please create a signpost at the honeymoon chalet. Upon our arrival we found another guest had mistaken the chalet for hers. Luckily, the honest mistake was rectfied quickly and respectfully. 2) Make sure events don't disturb residents at the lodge or arrange a suitable alternative. On our second night, a 21st birthday lunch in the restaurant spilled over into dinnertime. The loud music was very annoying. It was toned down for a short while but started up again, forcing the residents to flee to their rooms. The promised dinner in the boma would've been helpful and preferred. Instead it didn't happen and the braai dinner was brought to the diningroom even though there was no rain.

We stayed in the honeymoon suite for the weekend. We were disappointed about what we got for the price. I'm sharing this to hopefully help Mangwa Valley to focus on the details. Here's what was lacking in the room: 1. Double adapter plug to charge our phones, etc. (Luckily, the restaurant was able to provide us with one) 2. No hairdryer 3. Only Ricoffy sachets 4. No bottled water for the room (there is however a small fridge) 5. Smelly drain coming from shower 6. Spa bath leaking heavily 7. Overall maintenance (doors not closing properly, etc.) I don't think we're being difficult - these are just basics which need to be in a honeymoon suite especially! Other than that, we can't fault the excellent friendliness of the staff... every person was amazing. Plus, the quality of the food was also great. Overall, our stay was pleasant. But I don't think we will be staying there again when we visit Dinokeng.

This was our second visit to Mangwa Valley Game Lodge, and once again we were blown away! The setting is beautiful, the staff are friendly and welcoming, and the accommodation is fantastic for the price — truly great value for money. The food is an absolute highlight. Normally buffet meals can be a bit hit-and-miss, but here it’s consistently delicious. Every meal left us impressed. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing and affordable getaway.

A Mixed Bag at Mangwa Valley Game Lodge We recently visited Mangwa Valley Game Lodge for a team-building retreat, and our experience was a mix of highs and lows. Lewanika's service in the dining area was exceptional - friendly, attentive, and accommodating. Yvonne and Proxy in reception were equally impressive, handling our requests with professionalism. The spa day was a letdown. Despite excellent massages, the experience was marred by poor service and a lack of attention to detail. The spa staff were late, and the heater wasn't working for the first appointment. This being a problem in mid June. When we pointed it out, they seemed unsure how to fix it. We had to connect the heater ourselves. Cleanliness was also an issue - we had to reuse gowns, and the outside area wasn't well-maintained. The rooms were clean but felt dated, with old bedding and towels (they were clean just old). However, the shower pressure was a highlight! We stayed in the single room duplexes. Our game drives with Patrick were fantastic - knowledgeable and passionate about the animals. He was friendly and willing to go out of his way to ensure we saw the animals we requested. The farm was mostly herbivores and we did miss the excitement of spotting big cats. Overall, considering the price, we felt it was worth it. The team had a great time, and service was brilliant. However, we wouldn't expect four-star luxury with simple amenities like fridges and water bottles in rooms. And crisp fresh bedding with feather down duvets. With some improvements, Mangwa Valley Game Lodge could elevate its offerings.

We spent three nights at Mangwa Valley Lodge. We stayed in chalet 7. While the accommodation was perfectly acceptable the chalet was not serviced once during our stay and for the money we paid that is completely unacceptable. At one point we had to request toilet paper from reception. The food was adequate, very buffet, left over vibes, where everything starts to taste the same. The spa was the biggest disappointment. The therapists are terribly trained, they had no idea what they were doing. Apart from the lack of training, we had our treatments on the patio, and for some bizarre reason a third therapist came and sat outside with us and watched our treatments while playing on her phone. It was awkward and rather uncomfortable. We booked a game drive. It started late, no apologies. We had a very reluctant and disinterested ranger driver. He made very little effort to do anything other than drive the vehicle and was reluctant to stop at any sightings. The staff at the restaurant were fantastic. It's the type of place where they try to do everything and don't really do anything well. It is not 4 stars.

Terrible service, on our second night the kitchen ran out of food for the evening buffet. Guests had to either go hungry or wait for the food they kept saying was coming. I wouldn’t recommend this place. Definitely not four star standard and no value for money at all.

1. Expect a bumpy road to the venue. 2. When you are at the gate, call them for entry. After passing the 1st gate, you will get a 2nd gate, that one you can just open it. 3. Clean place, be mindful of animal passing by (like your springboks). 4. Restaurant on site, please use a card for payment, not cash. 5. Chapel is available. 6. There are standard rooms, honeymoon suite, houses with upstairs for family and private pools. 6. Game drive available. 7. Spa available. 8. It is a big place. 9. I will be visiting everything when I get a chance! I love it

BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT!!! I am extremely disappointed with the service at Mangwa Valley Spa and would never recommend anyone waste their time or money here. We booked a treatment for Valentine’s weekend and arrived on time, only to be told they were running an hour behind schedule. Unfortunately, we couldn’t wait as we had arrangements after our treatments, so they assured us that we would receive a refund the following week (as I had paid in full ahead of time to secure the booking ). It has now been over a month, and despite numerous calls and follow-ups, I have yet to receive my refund or even proof of payment. Each time I call, I’m given the same excuse by Yvonne, the receptionist, who refuses to let me speak to anyone else. She repeatedly promises to send proof of payment “later today,” but nothing ever arrives. I must of heard this same story over 15 times. This experience has been incredibly frustrating and unprofessional. The lack of accountability and customer service is shocking. If you’re considering booking here—don’t. There are far better spas that will actually respect your time and money.
