Lush Private Game Lodge

There are honestly no words to describe our experience at Lush. We had the most magical two nights there and saw the most incredible game during our safari drives. The accomodation is on the highest standard with impeccable attention to detail. The staff were friendly and welcoming , greeting us by name throughout our stay. We had two incredible and very experienced rangers who made the biggest effort to ensure we saw as many animals as possible in the short time we were there. I cannot recommend this place more...truly a once in a lifetime experience!

If I could give more stars I would! This lodge is set in a private reserve within the Pilanesburg, short drive from Pretoria and JHB. The rooms are nothing short of amazing. The lodge is intimate with only catering for a few people. Our ranger Boris was very knowledgeable and made sure that every game drive was spectacular. They went above and beyond for us, making our stay a truly magical one. They have a spa, private plunge pools, 5 star game viewing vehicles and more!

No other word but INCREDIBLE! From the beautiful and huge rooms, delicious food, beautiful grounds but most importantly the warm and fantastic staff. This place was the cherry on the cake for our trip to SA! The game drives are awesome and very comfortable with our Ranger, Boris, making it even better thanks for his expertise and knowledge, he could always anticipate where certain animals would be which helped us see the big five in only our second drive! A remarkable place, worth every penny!

The lush Private Lodge is the best Hotel we ever stayed in. The level of service there is absolutely outstanding! The rooms are perfect. Fully recommended.

True to its word, Lush Lodge IS living. However, it's not the big things that made us feel the difference. It's all the small details that made our 3 days at Lush Lodge transform our stay from a boutique bush-breakaway to a trip of a lifetime. Jacques, champion-guide and stand-up comic....creating morning Amarula coffee and sunset drinks moments from a movie. Crudités, a perfectly stocked field-bar and bush flowers to finish off the setting. Coupled with insight, knowledge and patience, having Jacques guide us to see beautiful sights was a privilege. He makes a pretty decent dinner companion, waiter and an excellent photo-bomber too :) Lush gives the perfect balance of privacy and socialising - every single staff member remembered our personal preferences. Taking the time to light the boma fire for a night of stories and new friendships was unexpected and treasured. Lush's greatest asset is its amazing staff - kind , open-hearted, professional and friendly people. I was sad to arrive home to my own house and not have anyone wave hello and bring me a warm face towel! We dream of returning to Lush. It was the perfect place to spend our 23rd Wedding Anniversary - thank you Lush!

Our anniversary weekend at Lush was nothing short of phenomenal. We felt like royalty throughout our stay. Every single staff member knows you by name and greets with a smile. The rooms are extremely comfortable and beautifully put together. The morning and evening Safaris were amazing, our guides Jacques and Hannes were a well balanced combination of entertaining and knowledgeable. We had a blast, and will most definitely return. The dining experience at the lodge was a highlight, made all the more delightful by the soothing voices of KG and Rodney during our meals. Their tranquil demeanor, coupled with their attentive service, added a layer of calm and relaxation to our dining experience. Each meal was not only a feast for the taste buds but also a soothing balm for the soul, thanks to their exceptional care. And who could forget the spa? Desree, the lodge's skilled masseuse, delivered exceptional massages that helped us unwind after our exciting game drives. Her touch was nothing short of magical, melting away any residual tension and leaving us deeply relaxed and ready to take on the next day's adventures. Speaking of adventures, our game drives, led by Jacques, were a true highlight of our stay. His deep knowledge of the local fauna, coupled with his infectious humor, made every excursion an enlightening and entertaining adventure. His passion for nature and his professional yet friendly nature greatly enhanced our safari experience. Perhaps one of the most striking aspects of our stay at the Lush Private Lodge were the surprises that awaited us each time we returned to our room. The team’s efforts to add these delightful touches showed us the lengths they go to ensure guests feel cherished. These small, thoughtful details made us feel not only noticed but genuinely cared for.
