Buffalo Brooke

We recently stayed at Buffalo Brook with a group of 8 friends, and it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the beauty and comfort of the lodge. The rooms were spacious, clean, and provided us with a wonderful night's sleep. The large living area was perfect for spending quality time together, and we especially enjoyed the lovely patio outside with its breathtaking views. The braai area and boma provided the ideal setting for unforgettable evenings spent chatting under the stars. And let's not forget the pool – it was the perfect spot to relax and take in the stunning surroundings, with the crocodile river just in front and hippos playing in the distance. The kitchen was incredibly well-equipped, with everything we needed and more to prepare delicious meals throughout our stay. The staff at Buffalo Brook were simply fantastic – friendly, helpful, and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure we had a memorable stay. Special thanks to Jacque, our game driver, whose knowledge and enthusiasm added an extra layer of excitement to our game drives. He truly catered to our needs and made each excursion unforgettable. Overall, our experience at Buffalo Brook exceeded all expectations. We can't wait to return and create more unforgettable memories in this magical place.

We spent 5 nights at Buffalo Brooke and the neighbouring property. LeoLapa, with our family of 18. The house was beautiful, very spacious, and had unparalleled views of the Crocodile River off of the back porch. We were fortunate enough to see plenty of animals each day in the water. We took morning and afternoon safari rides with our guides, Jacques and Justice, and they were incredible. Last but not least, the cleaning and maintenance staff were very friendly and did a great job. Could not recommend enough.

Last day of our visit sitting on balcony 5 hunting wild dog chased impala into river in front of us. Unfortunately huge croc then took the impala. Unbelievable sighting.

We had the best week staying at Buffalo Brooke from 19 - 25 March! The house is magnificent with the most amazing patio and pool overlooking the crocodile river. Everyday we saw animals coming to drink at the river including 30+ elephants who came to play in the river. Jacques was the most amazing and knowledgable driver and we saw the big 5 (and much more) on our game drives! The house staff (Lettie, Leya and Blessings) were just wonderful! I can't wait to go back and I will definitely stay at Buffalo Brooke again! Thank you for the most magical week.

Everything and all the staff, especially management was wonderful! We had a fabulous time and would recommend it to anyone!

This place is really a piece of heaven. The views are literally breathtaking. The house is amazing, well equipped and comfortable. The books and games available can keep you going for hours. We will definitely be back.

Once in a lifetime luxury accommodation right on the Crocodile River, so there are always animals in plain view from the deck (and infinity pool). Truly fully equipped, with lots of space and 5 double bedroom suites; the perfect getaway spot for groups or families. Game drives and excursions arranged on request and the housekeeping staff are efficient and friendly, for a relaxed holiday or work from home with a difference.
