The ladies from Plett Community Church recently enjoyed a retreat at Bella Munga, a charming conference and wedding venue just outside of Plett. The location was conveniently close, yet felt like a serene haven nestled in the picturesque countryside, surrounded by tall trees and rolling grasslands. We were delighted by the sight of animals grazing and the sound of birds singing. The rooms were comfortable, impeccably clean, and spacious, with well-appointed bathrooms. The staff, led by Lodi, were exceptionally friendly and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable. The dining area was spacious, complemented by a large outdoor veranda that was perfect for breakfast. The lounge area was cozy and warm, providing a private space for worship and fellowship. We highly recommend this fantastic venue. Thank you to Jenny and Chris for being so friendly, helpful and generous.

We had our wedding here and WOW - what setting and what a day!! We had our ceremony in the forest and it felt like a fairytale. We were lucky to have warm weather so our guests were sitting on the lawn and benches during canapés and were just soaking in the sun. The food was delicious and the fillet was cooked to absolute perfection!!! Our guests were happy and relaxed and they never stopped dancing on the deck while the bonfire was going outside in the background. We were pushing guests out at 1am to catch the last shuttle - a day we all wish never ended. Thank you to Jenny, Brenda and their team for making this the best day of our lives.

My family and I had a wonderful experience at Bellamanga Country Escape. The staff were extremely friendly and provided us with a delicious and fresh breakfast every morning, including both cooked and continental options. They were also able to provide great vegan and gluten free options for members of my family. The rooms are spacious and clean while being maintained to a high standard everyday. Finally the location is great for local activities in the area including the Bloukrans Bungee Jump and Canopy Tours or even small hikes.

This was by the far the BEST place we stayed along the garden route. The location is so peaceful, the rooms have that warm, cosy hygge vibe with ethically sourced towels from mungo (you need to visit the factory in Old Nick’s village to truly appreciate their values!) The team looking after us are so kind, caring and down to earth. Elodie, Jenny and Chris pay attention to every detail. Normally I feel like a nuisance when eating out but Jenny embraced my dietary requirements and went out of her way to experiment in the kitchen making me vegan, gluten free, refined sugar free pancakes, overnight oats and chia pudding. I even sampled some home grown verbena tea. They also have a laundry service too which was an absolute blessing! Thank you so much, I wish we could have stayed longer! Exceptional in every single way.

Plettenburg was my favorite part of the garden route. Not a place to miss. Stayed at Bella Manga for 3 nights. Fabulous experience one of my favorite stays in SA. Jenny and Chris were so hospitable. Breakfast so were fresh with home made bread cheeses and Marmalde. Jenny went out of her way to make my sister a vegan breakfast of pancakes. The accommodation is surrounded by fresh country and there is soo much to do nearby from zip lining, to bungy jumping and swimming with seals. Pletenburg bay is beautiful unlike the busier cities very safe great views and friendly people. Thank you once again Chris and Jenny for being soo accommodating.

We will be back. From our arrival to departure we received Top Class service from the Staff and Owners. Being welcomed by Jenny and Elodi, Elodi giving us the grand tour of the establishment and our units. The fully equipped kitchens with the scrumptious welcoming rusks, units were super clean and inviting with the servicing staff popping in every few days. The early morning and evening visits from the cows and the visits from the 3 donkeys was an experience we will treasure. Everyone enjoyed the pool and fully equipped clubhouse area, even watching the rugby at 23h00 was an absolute pleasure. We enjoyed watching the rugby with Chris who was an exceptional host, making everyone feel at home. Thank you Markus for topping up the wood every day, your kindness and diligence was well noted and appreciated. On the day of our departure we were treated to a Heritage day brekkie, Honey and the team prepared the continental brekkie and in addition braai'd wors, roosterkoek, stywepap and a leka relish Overall the establishment deserves 5 stars as this is now our home away from home. Thanks to the staff and Management for making our stay memorable.

A beautiful and peaceful place to host retreats. One can fully feel and appreciate the calmness that is within Bellamanga. A blessed place for those seeking rest. 🙏🏻
