Making a vacation at Albatross Ocean View Hotel in Zanzibar was the best plan my boyfriend and I made. The location of the hotel makes the beauty of catching the sunrise absolutely breathtaking. The friendly staff were always so kind and went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. We had booked three days and we added five more because it was such a good stay. They also made us a beautiful, romantic set-up at the beach (it was such a beautiful surprise) at the beach .The manager was so friendly too. We were sad to finally leave after our stay but we will definitely come back, hopefully sooner!

This place is totally out of category when it comes to location, atmosphere, staff, food, service etc etc etc or in other words, for me it has been one of the biggest experience ever visiting Albatros Ocean View, my god !!!!! No it isn`t the most luxurious hotels on the planet but who cares and if you would like to stay where the party goes on 23/7, you will have to look somewhere els for sure, but to the price and if you are looking for extremely kind and helpful service in calm, quiet and cozy surroundings, i doubt you will find a better place to stay, no sorry I am sure. Maybe course it is a relativ small hotel but as I felt it, our chemistry ( owner, staff and I ) worked for the moment i got the key to " my " room, allmost like one big family and that`s counts and I am more than sure that I am not the only one who had or will have that feeling if you decide to stay at AOV. Only 10 days since I left and my god I miss room number 208 and " my family ", just have to go there again and you are an idiot if you don`t ( go there ). You wrote to me in danish in the sand when you served dinner on the beach: we elsker dig ( we love you ), I can only say that I have exactly the same feeling for all of you. Sante and Akuna matata. There were six of us and no one was happy with the food. Very, very disappointing. The staff was okay, the waitress thought I said "rice" instead of "fries" . ? We waited for a long time even tho we were the only people on the terrace. But nice surroundings and view.

Beautiful place just few seconds to the beachfront, delicious food, conducive atmosphere ,well situated rooms, so many excursions activities nearby like surfing, snorkelling..The manager Mr. Samson together with his team ensures clients get their holiday comforts and satisfaction It’s a place“MUST“visit in Zanzibar!

We just spent five nights at the Ocean View. The location at Dongwe is perfect if you are after peace and serenity. Go to Paje if you want more action and kite surfing. The staff are attentive and we'll trained. The food is good. It is priced similarly to the hotels and restaurants in the area. We found the restaurants in Paje town to be much more reasonably priced, but we we accepted that we were on the beach in Dongwe and the prices werethe norm for the area. The room was spacious and comfortable. Only four stars for the room because the mattress was lumpy. The hotel is situated right where you can organise snorkelling tours and that was one of the highlights. The beach has white sand that goes on forever. The pool is pristine. We loved our stay. Thank you to Moses, Benjamin and Sauda in the restaurant. You really looked after us!

We stayed at Albatross Ocean View for 10 days and we had an amazing experience. The hotel is beautiful, the room was great with spectacular views, the pool and the beach were awesome, the food at the restaurant is delicious, and the staff is absolutely amazing! We had full board and it was definitely worth it; the food, as I said, is delicious, with pretty much everything being homemade, including the bread, the jams, the sweet pastries, etc. The staff was super attentive, friendly and helpful; they even made us some donuts to go for our super early flight and also prepared a very nice surprise for our last night! The cleaning staff was great, as our room was cleaned daily and it felt super clean all the time. I could spend a long time praising everything we liked in this hotel, but I can say that all in all, it was absolutely perfect for us, and we definitely recommend this hotel if you visit Zanzibar!! Thank you very much for making our stay so memorable!!

Lovely relaxing time at the hotel. The staff go above and beyond to ensure the stay is comfortable. I would recommend this hotel and will keep coming back.
