4 On Varneys Guest House

I stayed at 4 on Varneys for 8 nights earlier this month, went to another city in South Africa, and then returned for 3 nights here, cancelling a reservation for those 3 nights elsewhere because I liked it here so much. The guest house, staff, and location are excellent! The guest house is a beautiful Victorian building with several rooms. It has a pool near the entrance (too cold for July), provides onsite parking, and has large, clean comfortable, well-equipped rooms which include a fridge, safe, and ample storage for clothes. Free, reliable wifi is available as well. The buffet breakfast has a good variety of cold and hot foods, even for picky eaters like myself. The staff is top-notch. Maon, the owner, was friendly and helpful, even before I arrived. He assisted me to resolve reservation and transportation issues. His staff of Lynette, Helen, and Abigail were always helpful, smiling, and friendly. This guest house has a fantastic, safe location. It is walking distance to a Spar grocery store (at the corner), a multitude of restaurants and bars, the stadium, the V & A Waterfront, the beautiful Green Point Park, and the Sea Point Promenade. If you walk through Green Point Park to the lighthouse, you are very close to the Hop-on, Hop-off bus stop. I would not hesitate to return to the beautiful city of Cape Town and to this wonderful guest house again.

***** 4 on Varneys Guest House - Highly Recommended We had a truly wonderful stay at 4 on Varneys Guest House! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by how easy it was to find. The location is perfect—just a short walk from the DHL Stadium and surrounded by plenty of restaurants to choose from. Maon, the host, was exceptionally helpful and responsive, always ready to assist us with any questions or directions we needed. The entire staff exuded warmth and professionalism, making us feel right at home. One of the highlights of our stay was the lovely breakfast served each morning. The guest house itself is beautifully maintained, with a stunning pool area and comfortable outdoor seating. Our bedroom was tastefully decorated and featured high-quality linens that added a touch of luxury to our experience. We can't recommend 4 on Varneys Guest House enough and will definitely be returning for our next visit! The photos on the website accurately reflect the beauty of the guest house, and we were thrilled to find it lived up to our expectations. If you're looking for a charming place to stay in Greenpoint, look no further. Highly recommended!

We have been the second time at 4onVarneys and we’d till love the location, safe and close to the waterfront and city center. The room on the ground floor is very nice but once breakfast starts it gets loud and people are having breakfast infront of the window - this is a bit annoying.

I had an amazing overnight stay here. The staff were fantastic Thoko, Helen and Lynette who were so friendly and helpful. They gave me a scrumptious breakfast. My eggs were made just how I like them and the bacon was nice and crispy. It was my birthday yesterday and they were so thoughtful and even made muffins with candles in for me to blow out at breakfast this morning. A beautiful guest house. I so enjoyed my room with aircon, tv, lovely soft linens and comfortable bed. I slept well. I enjoyed my shower. My car was safe and secure inside. Lovely splash pool outside. Lovely balcony to sit on outside. Breakfast was fit for a king. So much to choose from. It was a pleasure to meet Maon the owner this morning. I definitely recommend this guest house. 5 ⭐️ treatment given. I will definitely visit again.

Excellent location for exploring Cape Town and the cape. Extremely friendly staff. We enjoyed breakfast outdoor (unusual for a location in the city). Great value for money.

We were most satisfied with our 4-day stay at 4onVarneys during the visit to Cape Town. Very Good and spacious accommodation, Nice and delicious breakfast service, cleaning and bedroom very well maintained and guest attendants very kind and friendly. The location is perfect 10-minute walking to the V&A Waterfront with restaurants, cafes, shops, souvenirs and attractions; also where the City Sightseeing Office is located offering the 5-Line route to the many touristic points, as well to 2 wine tasting wineries, and to a famous Sunset hill site.
