Landscape

The main habitat of the Nkasa Rupara is the Swamp.

The park is mainly a swamp area between the Kwando and Linyanti rivers. There are several overgrown channels that criss-cross the marshland. When flooded, it becomes Namibia's version of the Okavango Delta in Botswana - an inaccessible paradise of islands and reed-fringed waterways. The national park is Namibia's largest wetland.
